Peace, Be Still

Jesus is just so good! He is just so amazing! There’s nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, like being in the presence of God. The relaxation, the calmness, and more than anything the assurance of peace and safety is beyond understanding. He soothes the soul. Just basking in His presence and singing a song of praise or two or three; just brings such joy. Oh Lord, how I love you! How I just adore sitting at your feet and embracing your presence and Glory. There’s nothing like it. You’ll be so embraced that it brings tears to your eyes to know just how well kept you truly are with Jesus. He truly takes care of His children. Hallelujah! Praise Jesus!

Have you ever pondered the thought of where was I before all of this wonderment in Christ? You’ll sometimes think, wow, I was really lost. Or wow, what was I doing before? I should have been here all along! What took me so long! The beautiful journey with Christ is that you’ll get to meet yourself at different levels in Christ. Isn’t that amazing? Where I was five years ago, is definitely not where I am now. Who I am now is not who I was then. And this should be a testament of everyone’s journey in Christ, somehow. Wisdom in Christ just grows and grows.

The stillness and peace that the Lord Jesus Christ gives is beyond understanding.

Psalm 23 reads;

The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;

For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord

Forever.

“Peace, be still.” In the midst of the storm. In the midst of chaos. In the midst of what you see in your environment and what’s happening in the world. “Peace, be still.” Pray and anoint your head, your family, your children, and your home with oil. Ask Jesus for His protection over you and your family (Psalm 91) and rest in His presence. Rest and be at peace knowing that you are in His hands and in His care. Where does my help come from? For I look to the hills from which cometh my help, My help cometh from the Lord, who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2).

In Mark 4:39, I believe these words are the best words that can be used for any battle or whatever hurdles life throws your way.

In NKJV Bible Mark 4:35-41 says;

On the same day, when evening had come, He (Jesus) said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.”

Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him (Jesus) along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him.

And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling.

But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?

Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful?” How is it that you have no faith?”

And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

And it says in Exodus 14:14, “The Lord will fight my battles, I need only be still.” Both scriptures mentioned here reminds me of a child walking around so proud with their chest poked out, strutting around without a care in the world. As if to say, “my daddy will handle it!” And you well know that it is indeed handled. No question. And as my grandfather used to say, “no ifs, ands or buts about it!”

This is exactly what I envision of my Holy, Magnificent Father of Heaven is like for me. For all of us. No worries, “my Father will take care of it!” I say that phrase with those scriptures all knowing that God, my blessed Savior, He will handle it! And then I go on about my day.

The World Feeds Off of Anger, Confusion, Hostility, Greed and Oppression

If we keep feeding the world; instead of feeding our soul with daily talks with Christ and His Word what do you think the results will be? Aren’t we seeing it in real time?

Even in the media, things we thought have been put to bed; soon rearise to the surface just for content sake, news sake, and entertainment. Hmm. Let’s see, what can we regurgitate and use today to remind the people of the hate, the uncertainty, the backlash, the sadness, and the condemnation.

Many feel the weight of the world today because this world is built upon oppression. But by the grace and deliverance of Jesus, we’re free! You don’t have to look back. You don’t have to ‘wonder if’. God has made you a new creature. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 it reads, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” Once God has made you new, ain’t no turning back!

On a daily basis if there’s no new, bad news; let’s pick through the vomit of yesterday and yester-year and just use it. The world wants to continue to tell you everything you’re not, but Jesus wants to tell you everything you are through Him. The world, let’s keep everyone on edge! The devil is a liar! Get the behind me Satan!

There’s Freedom in Christ Jesus!

What saddens me the most are those still standing on the outskirts still looking in, wanting to, but maybe feeling too far gone, afraid of surrendering, skeptical, or unsure about revealing this form of sacrifice and vulnerability. No worries, I’ve been there before. You start questioning yourself. Oh, it’s too late now. Oh how I’ve really messed up. Praise the Lord, just showing up is the first step. You make one step towards Jesus, He’ll make a thousand steps towards you. He’s been right there the whole time waiting for you with open arms.

Lay down your weapons. Aren’t you tired? God is the Alpha and Omega. There is NO other above Him.

Lay down your weapons and give it all to Jesus. If you’re tired of going through life with uncertainty and the lack of peace beyond understanding. Come to
Jesus. Living in sin, committing evil acts, just going with the flow with no guidance from Jesus will just leave you lost. Let Him guide you.

Repeat this scripture and know Jesus is with you for life:

For it says in John 3:16-17 in the KJV Bible,

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

I Want to Be Saved!

Say these words and accept Jesus as your personal Savior right now and be saved:

Jesus I repent of my sins. Please cleanse my heart, my soul, and come into my life. I confess with my mouth and I believe through faith that you were crucified on the cross and died for my sins and raised from the dead so my soul would be saved and that I would have eternal life. I accept you as my personal Savior and Jesus is now the head of my life. Guide me, cleanse me, heal me, I welcome you Holy Spirit into my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Goodbye Condemnation and Hello, Freedom in Jesus!

Hallelujah! Welcome to the family of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God bless you and God be with you.

Speak to the Lord through daily prayer. No fancy words needed. Just speak from your heart. Ask Jesus to guide you and help you turn to walk in holiness and righteousness. You may fall, but you’re not counted out. Repent of your sins daily (uncover it all for God knows it all) ask how to come out of your sins and be completely delivered. It’s a process, but the Holy Spirit is walking with you. Ask Him daily to strengthen you and to keep you. Remember, there’s no condemnation in Jesus. Meaning, there’s no shame. You’ll have conviction from the Holy Spirit to help you live in a more Christ-like way. If someone brings up your past sin and you’ve already confessed and repented to Jesus about it and you’ve already asked Him for forgiveness, this person is not operating in Christ. What are you shameful about? I don’t know if you heard, but God forgives you! If Jesus is no longer concerned about it, why are you? The biggest question is, why are they? Hold your head up and keep steppin’! Amen.

No one should be shaming you. No one! You may have felt ashamed at the time the sin was committed, but no more once you’ve confessed the sin to Jesus and turned away from it. God wants you to release the shame. As a matter of fact, for it reads in Romans 10:11, “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.” Another verse. And it reads as thus in Isaiah 61:7, “Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” If you believe and have claimed Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, His words are for you. Apply them to your life! They’re sovereign and they’re true! Hallelujah! And thank you Jesus for your sovereign Word.
